YOUTUBE ALBUMS AND MORE

After I released Chairspray I didn't want to clog up my own record label with more of my music, so I started uploading albums to youtube. It was really fun to do, and I released some of my favorite albums on my channel. Now I have my own solo bandcamp page so I only use my youtube for random songs and animations and such.

what remains of tom is 6 tracks long and has a run time of 16 minutes exactly. It was released on June 28th 2024. This minialbum was inspired by the book House of Leaves. It sounds stupid but I liked the creepy infinite feeling the passages in that book have and I thought I would try to replicate that feeling in musical form. I used a lot of samples and looping. All of the samples come from various cassette tapes I have lying around. I think I sample a Jeff Foxworthy tape a couple of times (Track 2).

american b-sides is 11 tracks long and has a run time of 23:51. It was released on July 4th 2024 (which is why it's american). At the time I was considering this album to be a follow-up to Chairspray, but a lot of the songs I recorded were too silly for that. The first track is a cover of I Wish I Was Him by Noise Addict. Tracks 1, 3, and 4 were recorded in a cabin on Beech mountain in North Carolina. I loved being there. I also recorded one of my best songs ever there, track 3, Newark. It's one of the only songs I can play from memory. This album also got my first hate comment ever. Very special...

bunnies is 11 tracks long and has a run time of 25:38. It was released on August 14th. This is probably my most popular album, ever, with almost 20K views on youtube! I don't get why honestly, it was recorded kind of on a whim in July, and then it took a while to get released because I was busy doing things with bands at the time. This album got reviewed and played on a radio show in Argentina I'm pretty sure. It blew my mind, it's wild! I still like this tape tons, it's a grand little oddity.

hot mushroom is 7 tracks long and has a run time of 22:38. It was released on Nov 26th 2024. I gave up on this album halfway through but released it for the first three tracks, which are all really solid. Straight was my magnum opus for a while, it's a 9 minute song I made using a looper pedal and recorindg all these layers. It was based off of an imrpovised song I preformed live first. No one was at that show though but it was still fun, I remeber two milddle-aged ladies in the barren venue being really impressed with. This album also has the song Christmas Ghost, which I LOVE. I reccomened everyone listen to it, I loved making it and how it turned out. I still include it on compilation CDs that I make.

witnessing a no-hitter is 11 tracks long and has a run time of 24:25. It was released on Feb 27th 2024 and has the catalog number Schmee #11. I'm tagging this release at the end of this page because I don't know where else to put. I recorded it over a weekend and released it the Monday after (although bandcamp says it was uploaded on a Tuesday). Although it wasn't the debut of my sampling antics, i utilized sampling in the song in an important way. A standout track is track 10, I Have To Belive In Miricles (misspelling is intentional). This song samples an ad from a Amos 'n' Andy tape, which I've gone on to sample in A LOT of other songs (including the aforementioned Straight). It's just full of gold. This tape also includes another song I love, track 9, Melt On My Parade. I captured lightning in a bottle with that one...
